What Are Rare Earth Elements?
Rare Earth Elements (REE) are a set of 17 chemically similar elements found in the Earth\u2019s crust. Despite their name, they are not necessarily \u201crare\u201d in terms of abundance. The challenge lies in their extraction, as they are often dispersed and difficult to separate from other minerals.
